Mw2 Muddy Waters
Mw2 muddy waters had more stuff on screen
That game had some pretty pretty sounds. Those guns I swear were real
It certainly sounds *right*?
Definitely. I was super impressed with it. It was a lot like CS or even quake if you'd ever played that, it was even more realistic which made it all the better.
The weapons certainly felt like guns. But they were all very very close in the tonal range of a metal bar shooting BBs at water. It was pretty.. unusual? I heard that the weapon sounds were underwhelming in BF2, particularly that sound made when you get a killshot
> the weapon sounds were underwhelming in BF2 They really were underwhelming. Battlefield 1 looks like it's gonna turn out to be a pretty awesome game, but so far, BF2 is looking quite flat. For some weird reason, it feels like you're playing an old shooter, but with a modern vehicle design.
I mean, BF:2142 had modern weapons but also feels way to old, and the vehicles feel like a video game equivalent of a sand paper board and paint. I'm not sure what you're talking about.
I'm talking about both the guns and the vehicles as if they're entirely different genres. I felt like for the first time in a BF game, it's really coming together. I can't pinpoint exactly what it is, but there's a difference from just waiting for the gun sounds and gun accuracy to come in and getting 100% accuracy.
The guns are the only major gripe I have with BF2 that has me not buying it. I don't like the sound at all and the lack of destruction and building makes me feel very restricted.
I thought the lack of building and the different modes didn't really do it for you? I just wanted the same experience I had with Battlefield 3 and 4, without much else. That's a shame, I hear BF1 has better destruction than both those, so if the gun sound changes bother you, maybe it's time to hop over to BF1!
