Well considering that fumbles don't result in points unless the receiver catches it, it was still a TD.
Ah, I thought it was a live ball, so the running back would have the ball, as in a fumble recovery. Now I guess it doesn't count, for whatever reason. *It could have been an incomplete pass. We'll never know.
Fumbles are live balls in relation to the clock in play when it happens.
If it were a recovered fumble, it would be first and goal. The clock is still running and the ball is somewhere on the field, giving the other team an opportunity to snap and punt.
A recovered fumble isn't in the formation for either team.
