Hyperbolic Discounting
Hyperbolic discounting is a horrible way to begin a contract because you have to use reasoning to understand why a deal is bad.
Then it wouldn't be an *initial* assessment
No, it would look at the rate, other factors, all the other incentives, etc, and get to the idea of why the deal is bad. But thats just what i think.
That's not how it works. You can't look at some stuff and then see the full picture. It requires a lot of time, and in some cases, a little understanding about what the various incentives are. You know, all the things you'd need to understand about the team to negotiate. Like an agent.
Oh, I thought you were saying that it made it useless to use overhyped discounts because of this. My bad. I didnt want to disagree. It just might be helpful in the contract negotiations because its very short, and doesnt assume anything.
