In this case a full 3/5 body is strong enough for hermit druid and custerize is just a ripoff of Naxx Death Knight. Hermit Druid is not completely useless. You can still use mana crystals to power up your hero power. It doesn't cost much mana, and it's better than Shaman's or Rogue's hero powers. It's also extremely useful because if you activate its deathrattle your hero power will attack for 4 instead of 3. However, these advantages are completely outweighed by the fact that Hermit Druid isn't that great. It has a niche in Arena where there is no choice but to face it or some combo that inevitably lead to Cauterize.
