I really wouldn't be surprised if they were actually paid to take it down, it'd be an easy win for them if it were one of those 'hip' multi billion dollar companies (looking at you reddit)

IDK seems like 'the rights belong to the inventors of the technology' kinda thing to me.
How about stop infringing on other people's intellectual property?

It's not copyright. You get copyright when the thing you're copyrighting actually exists, but when you make something up, you get nothing. That's freedom of association.

can I copyright something that never existed tho?

Rfc 5322

Rfc 5322 is probably your culprit. Set it to disable phone numbers as you navigate pages. Probably needs a settings update. Except Google stops it from working. Google Voice works well. That's interesting. I had no problems with gv after it was disabled. Yeah, and you can still send SMS texts to your GV phone number it is just that only the number you choose appears on the screen rather than the number that Google has sent you your SMS to. (I think) It's not just gv. That's why I'm saying it should get updated. Apparently it is an rfc 5308 type protocol. I would believe as much. The good ol' RFC isn't the most well-documented of things. And without a reliable way to track it down, it is difficult to patch things. Do you have a link to info about that? I was unaware. I can't dig it up. I just know it exists. And that at the time of rfc 5322 it was known to be broken.
