Hyundai hecu settlement is pretty ugly

What do the letters stand for? I feel like I’m missing out on a great pun

It just abbreviates Hyundai. Was originally 2 brand names (Hyundai and I think Honda, but I do not want to be that guy) and that was getting a bit boring so they just had a “model” type of name that was simple to pronounce and just got stuck.

Huh. Didn’t know they actually went through with that. Well, at least it’s unique and avoids confusion. Thank you!

the naming convention was started pre-timeshares, actually. the cars were originally built under the name ford, but of course that was bought by timeshares.

Is that why they picked the name Hyundai?

No. By the 1960s it was the most popular brand name in Korea. The decision to stick with it over Ford is rooted in sentiment rather than actual history. If you have any Korean friends you get asked about the name every day.

Rfc 5322

Rfc 5322 is probably your culprit. Set it to disable phone numbers as you navigate pages. Probably needs a settings update. Except Google stops it from working. Google Voice works well. That's interesting. I had no problems with gv after it was disabled. Yeah, and you can still send SMS texts to your GV phone number it is just that only the number you choose appears on the screen rather than the number that Google has sent you your SMS to. (I think) It's not just gv. That's why I'm saying it should get updated. Apparently it is an rfc 5308 type protocol. I would believe as much. The good ol' RFC isn't the most well-documented of things. And without a reliable way to track it down, it is difficult to patch things. Do you have a link to info about that? I was unaware. I can't dig it up. I just know it exists. And that at the time of rfc 5322 it was known to be broken.
