Catalogs like lillian vernon are quite niche and needed by a select group of women. If you haven't tried making custom homes then i would say go all out. If you are limited in money you may want to look around at historic homes and go from there.

There's a design studio near me that does custom made homes if we want them to last we'd be spending about 10k on design fees.

Even the most exquisite of expensive houses cannot last forever with the receding age of many of our leaders...Maybe it's time to downsize..

I don't know, I was thinking that getting an 8 week mortgage for 20k and spending 40k for a move but staying close to the old community would keep the house as a long term investment rather then a gold digging project. What if we buy old houses? Its less of a purchase and less hassle on the purchase?

I thought about it more in detail. What if this was for retirement, you are on a fixed income with no children to support? Maybe your spouse is going into assisted living or still works, if so you have a great spot. And what if your youngest child moved out like most adults in their 20s do? What if you have a first mortgage on a house you may want to live or retire in? Sometimes all it takes is some sacrifice.

Again, we don't have children we'd both die before they're ready to start supporting us, and if the economy goes under, I don't have to worry about that.

But what about when your child moves out and starts a family? If you sold the house and bought a smaller house you would have the same house value but wouldn't have the extra monthly mortgage payments and would have more cash to spend or a nest egg when the day comes when a financial crisis hits. You have money now?

It does scare me, however, I'm really in my own lane financially. I have my own small business and I'm looking for a mentor just to get going now. I love what I do. I'm so passionate. It would be really nice to buy a house and start a family all on my own. Maybe that is what this is, I don't know.

Rfc 5322

Rfc 5322 is probably your culprit. Set it to disable phone numbers as you navigate pages. Probably needs a settings update. Except Google stops it from working. Google Voice works well. That's interesting. I had no problems with gv after it was disabled. Yeah, and you can still send SMS texts to your GV phone number it is just that only the number you choose appears on the screen rather than the number that Google has sent you your SMS to. (I think) It's not just gv. That's why I'm saying it should get updated. Apparently it is an rfc 5308 type protocol. I would believe as much. The good ol' RFC isn't the most well-documented of things. And without a reliable way to track it down, it is difficult to patch things. Do you have a link to info about that? I was unaware. I can't dig it up. I just know it exists. And that at the time of rfc 5322 it was known to be broken.
