Fcps Emergency Announcements

Fcps emergency announcements may have been switched off in my neighborhood.

I heard them all. I think they've done something about them in the last year but they've only been making a big deal about them in the last few months.

I went through a couple rounds where everyone was on board with the calls being replaced by texts, but I gave up on the idea when no one that was in in charge would let me hear the transmission...

Maybe we should just ignore the system completely. They don't like it because now we don't have a bad thing to complain about. Which is dumb. And petty. Good plan.

I'm afraid of a rabies outbreak if people stop taking the calls. The more people it happens to, the higher the risk.

I'm afraid of a meth epidemic. Those people will not stop until they get what they want.

We should make it a federal, state and county issue. If you're in a city where people can't get Meth, and the Feds have made it illegal in a state, then the state is going to start raiding meth labs. I'm not sure how they're able to get rid of them and I can't think of any form of punishment that would be stronger than that.

> I'm not sure how they're able to get rid of them and I can't think of any form of punishment that would be stronger than that. That's pretty much the law as it stands. The only problem there is the Feds go against the laws of their countries so it's a little bit of a catch-22.

We could make it stricter. Same punishment for possession/manufacturing/distribution. And punish people who use to get addicted to it. Now the trouble comes in getting the state police (or whatever drug task force is) into high density areas where they can find a meth lab. They're not going to jump into a rural area unless they're having issues with a certain gang, and without cause they can't cause any trouble.

Could be better. I'd imagine that if the issue is really bad the county task force would go in. Just a bit of a catch-22 that way.
