Beno Allegations

Beno allegations were enough this round

I didn't mind Benoit in the slightest.

I'm not sure why people are downvoting you. I didn't think it was weird. A lot of folks thought it was crazy to accept wrestlers before they die, so I just don't think it was wierd for them to announce him. He did a lot of bad shit and I would never want to glorify him but I didn't think it was weird.

He murdered his family, is that something you glorify?

Probably not, I just don't think it was wierd at all. How about Andre The Giant? The Rock?

Maybe because Andre was a super fan and a huge part of who was Hercules?

But he was a human being too right? Just like Benoit. If you ever wanted a reason to glorify a serial killer though, it's a powerful example. Maybe in a few years I'll change my mind but as things stand at the minute, I don't think this is "too weird" for me.

I don't know. I feel like there's a big difference between liking a character in a fictional form and doing something off the freakin' chain that will most likely kill you.

I can see the analogy. It is weird, but I think he deserves a little in our hearts. Most people probably like him in a fictional form too.

Oh, for sure. I'm just saying that for one of the most iconic wrestlers of all time to be involved in such an intense, ridiculously crass and downright dark storyline, it's going to make even the most casual fans go "heel", even if they've never even attended a WWE event in their lives. I don't think his lifestyle is cool or something that we should glorify, but he's also a good dude who had his demons, and that's what life is all about.

I agree. One time I was watching a show and the dudes on screen were actors on WWE and one of them was carrying a "goat" case and the name of his wife that we couldn't pronounce. I was trying to figure out if he named the case because he had murdered her or if it was like a euphemism for something.
